Master your bursts instead of enduring them
20 frames per second makes monstrous folders. Verdict automatically detects sequences using capture timestamps precise to a hundredth of a second, groups them and replays them like a GIF.
Bursts become an asset
Automatic detection
Frames shot less than a second apart (adjustable from 0.1 to 3 s) are grouped into sequences, numbered in shooting order.
Animated preview
Press V to replay the burst like a GIF at the speed of your choice. Motion jumps out — so does the right moment.
Dedicated navigation
Tab jumps from burst to burst, G selects the whole sequence at once, and “not a GIF” remembers your choice forever.
Cull a burst in seconds
Jump to the next burst
Tab takes you straight to the start of the next sequence — no more scrolling through the pile.
Replay it
V starts the animated preview. The 👑 crown already marks the technically best frame.
Mark and move on
Rate the best one, tag the whole sequence if it deserves a GIF, Tab for the next.
Frequently asked questions
How are sequences detected?
By the real capture gap between photos, read from EXIF with hundredth-of-a-second precision — what modern camera bodies actually record.
Can I exclude a false burst?
Yes: “not a GIF” (Shift+G) excludes the sequence permanently. The exclusion survives closing the folder and future re-detections.
What is the animated preview for?
Judging motion at a glance: a hesitation, a laugh, a bouquet toss… and spotting the bursts that will make great animated GIFs.
